3rd April Observations

When a remark is made in English, it is to be taken in the spirit of the discussion or speech.

But when you speak of a phrase in your native, then it is to be taken literally.

Context: Recent high-court judge said that Anurag Thakur was smiling when he raised the slogan- desh ke gaddaronko, goli maro salonko.

Also interesting to note the judge went on to say that context is important to take cognizance of the seriousness of such statements. It was spoken during the elections-rally time. It means the atmosphere is charged around and such statements are usually made by all party candidates and even gullible people know it's signalling not incitement.

Whereas if the same statement is made when there's a non-election context, then it may be taken as an incitement exercise.

Most probably it ends with 9. 49/99/149/2999.

49 feels like 40; 599 feels like 500 only until we pay.

The Indian way has been giving 101, 1001, 501.

The one rupee above signals the intent of the giver- wishing for your continuity. Not just monetary but an all-round prosper.

It's too small to be missed. Will remember it for a long time.

It strikes me. Reminds me of many movies, especially sports-related where the protagonist is expected to do what others have done but she/he goes the other way- doing what they have done before in similar or tangential situations.
